I’ve been playing Bedwars on CubeCraft for a while now, and I enjoy the mode, but there are a few issues that are starting to affect the experience.


Here are the main problems I’ve noticed:


  1. Resources not being transferred on kill. A lot of people just like to hog the diamond generator in mid and stand there all game, and when you kill them, you don't get anything. This is irritating for most players since they don't get rewarded in any way.

  2. Weapon cooldown bug. When holding a weapon in your main hand and blocks in your offhand, there is a bug where after placing a block, your weapon doesn't do a normal hit, rather just a weak attack. This is really affecting fights since in early game, where axes are used, you can't deal any damage if you have placed a block and get a big health disadvantage after the hit exchange.

  3. Grass being breakable. I have no idea why this is a thing, but I've noticed it and think that breaking any part of the map shouldn't be allowed.

  4. Hitbox appearing in front of you when bridging or placing blocks fast. This is probably a part of some anticheat the server uses, but it's really annoying as it messes up your bridging often. Blocks also tend to ghost a lot when trying to block clutch or build while spamming. I know double clicking and drag clicking is not allowed, and although I have a drag clicking mouse myself, I also try to single click as much as possible to not trigger any anticheat software, but it still remains an issue.

  5. Blocks not being breakable. A lot of times, after specifically fireballing an opponent's bed defence, the blocks around it that are blast-proof (like terracotta) tend to not break. Again, this can lead to massive disadvantages and even losing a whole game just because you cannot break the opponent's bed.

  6. Team chests. Team chests should be openable after eliminating an enemy team. This is not really a big issue, but sometimes it can lead to resource disadvantages if you wipe out a team that camped in their generator the whole game. This, combined with issue #1, would make the games a little more balanced for people who tend to rush more than staying in their own bases.

  7. Economy rework. Iron has almost no usage and usually begins to pile up in your inventory or team chest when the middle game phase starts. The only things which require iron are blocks and an axe most of the time. Leather armor gets upgraded pretty quickly, so I'm not even going to mention it. To give iron a little more usage, items that are bought with gold can be reworked to require iron, for example the fireball, hats, totems, etc.

  8. Upgrades. Upgrades are also a really important part of a Bedwars game. The only thing I would like to see added there is a trap upgrade that gives mining fatigue or blinds enemies crossing over to your base.

  9. Cheating problem. Last but not least, we have to talk about cheaters. Me and a lot of other people face cheaters almost every game. Although I try to report them as much as possible, it's still not enough. There are even some who have flight bypasses and many more heavy cheats.

These are the main issues that I've been noticing for the past couple of months playing Bedwars. I really like how most of the lobbies are full now, and it's easy to find a Bedwars game. However, to maximize the experience and recruit even more players to the community, these fixes will be necessary to see growth in the gamemode.

I know that having all of this fixed or reworked is a hard process that takes time, but it would be good for the staff team and developer team to at least consider it. I was hoping this post would get a little bit more attention. Here is some additional stuff.

10. It would be better for all players to start with leather armor, because it makes the protection upgrade useless in the early game.

11. For some reason swords lose durability so it would be better for them to be made unbreakable. (Yes my sword has been breaking mid fight multiple times)

12. Maybe make the generators so you can split them with your teammates instead of the resources taking turns between the players. Also would be nice to make it so you don't respawn in the generator because it gives enemies a big advantage after fighting them in their base.

Thiss really well explained you covered a lot of things without making it confusing.

I agree with what you said about resource transfer and the weapon bug. It feels pointless when you do not get anything after killing someone at mid. The cooldown issue is also a problem because it can make you lose fights for no reason. The ghost blocks and hitbox issue when you are bridging is something that a lot of players have to deal with. It makes the game feel unfair.

The thing about the economy is true too. Iron becomes useless fast so it would be better if it was more valuable. This would make the mid and late game more fun.. Cheaters are still a big problem, which makes all the other issues worse.

Overall this is feedback it does not sound like you are just complaining. You are explaining problems that affect how people play the game. I hope the people, in charge of BedWars look into some of these issues because fixing a few of them would make the game a lot better.
