The /report alerts a sentinel who will automatically ban or not. But I don't know if the admins are also notified. In the case where he is banned, he remains banned until the date set for the cheating committed. But if we come to report the player on the cubecraft site in the tab provided for this purpose and attach proof, he will be banned quickly if he cheats and even if he is not connected.
If I said something stupid, don't hesitate to correct me.

And yes, reports are closed at the end of the game unfortunately (well, I think so). Otherwise, you have to report on the site...

When you use /report it will be sent to a moderator if they are currently reviewing reports. When a player logs off, the system automatically closes the report because we won't be able to spectate them if they're offline, so there's no way we would be able to verify the report. This is why collecting evidence and reporting here on the forums is a much more reliable method, since we can review the player's actions even if they are no longer online, and they can still receive an appropriate punishment.

We typically receive a new /report every couple of minutes, so this is also a way to prevent us from getting overwhelmed by reports, only to find out that many of the players are now offline, and makes sure that we can prioritise the players who are still actively breaking the rules at that moment. It's unfortunately true that some people may exploit this as you described, but the best solution is as said to use the forum reporting option to make sure they will definitely get a punishment.

Like what if someone hacks for an hour, logs off and back on they're fine? Or am i just not understanding the whole reporting process at all.
i can agree, however if you get any video proof of cheats you can easily go onto the reporting page andd get them there, the in game report command isnt too reliable so from now on you should definitly use the website
