Not particularly. The only thing that might seem hard is buying a lot of gravel; however, you should have already developed a stable source of income by the time you got that quest. Feathers are the easiest part: you can just kill chickens on your own, as I did, or make the auto farm.
Yea, some of the quests later on are significantly harder. Like gathering 50,000 glowstone

This place got turned into a graveyard! I didn't cause this, I witnessed this. I have 4 kills and most of them didn't happen here
