Java Skywars competative

When you just started playing skywars and you are not that good at PvP it is very hard to play against people that already played the game a few years. So it would be a lot more fun to play against people that has the same skills to have more chance of winning. I think that problem could be solved with skywars competative. Maybe it would be an option to match players that has the same wins/kills.

It will get abused, the pro players will join the non competative game becaus they know that there are only noob players. So they can get easy kills and wins.

Meanwhile the compeattive game will be empty and not that much played. Playing against 2/3 players of the same skill level is hard enough. let alone a whole match against the same skill based players.

And how do you think that the pro's became pro's? By learning pvp, tacticts, etc. The new players also just got to learn like all of us.

Beside that there are more ways to kill someone, by bowing them/trowing projectiles, tnt traping, block trapping, put the enemy in lava, etc. etc. There are so much more ways to kill people then melee.

It is a no from me.

Exactly.. Just try to kill the tryhards, and you will learn it yourself xD

Practise makes perfect. As Mr_Tommy said, there are not enough players to fill the games, and if they add this, you will probably be playing against the same people all the time because no one is playing this game. I don't think thats fun.

No. Here is why:

It is possible to kill people who are better than you by tactical thinking. A lot of good players have difficulties facing 'campers' or cleaners. You can kill someone by cleaning him, and it is allowed.

I would vote yes, but luckily, that is not implemented. If you cannot clean, better people would always win. That would not be fun. So in that case, I would suggest the same thing as you, but implementing all this will remove the simplicity of skywars and I think that is what fun, that it is simple, which causes a lot of fun and variety.

You will get better if you play against people that are better than you. Eventually you are at the same level at the other good players. :-)

I have to disagree at this. Some just do not have the same resources as others.

Some have a worse pc than others, and it is very difficult to get on the same level with 15 fps as someone else with 400 fps. More fps means faster responsiveness from your mouse. Also, someone with a better mouse will have more chances.

And knowledge plays a big role. Does anyone of you know what mouse acceleration is, for example? Turn it off :-). It really makes your aiming more difficult by leaving it on.

It's true, and would be more fun facing people of your own skill. But this will Always either be bypassed, or impossible to make.. I get the idea, but I don't think it's a good thing to add, due to new accounts from good people, alt accounts, hackers will Always be in the "lower class" players, because these are mostly alts that haven't played yet. And adding hackers only to the new people, would make them want to quit. Now about the "higher class", maps might take longer to fill, and the game would be waaay harder, and maybe only 1 or 2 persons will win every game.. And some good people enjoy playing with bad people, and some bad enjoy fighting good people to get better.. All I'm saying it that this has a positive and a negative side.
I don't think this should be a thing :)

That's not true my friend is always playing with low fps and a cheap mouse, but he is not bad.

Im talking about in game, without the resources you need to play.

Indeed, you need a good pc and stuff like that, but that aside.

The game strategy is really important, but you can always learn, so just look at the player who win litterly every game and think by yourself, how is he beginning the game? Is he already pushing or just looting at mid?

Also PVP is really important. You can learn that also, by asking a good PVPer for tips for example. And, of course, just a lot of practice.

Dat is een drogredenering. Dat is net alsof je zegt:
'Roken is gezond, want mijn oma rookt iedere dag een pakje sigaretten en is nu 95.'

Je bent niet meteen slecht als je geen goede computer hebt, maar als je je vriend achter een goede pc zou zetten met een duurdere muis, zal hij beter zijn. Dat is het punt.

Maar ik vind inderdaad dat het moet zijn zoals het nu is. Nu maakt het niet zoveel uit als wanneer dit wel implemented wordt, want nu heb je nog dat tactiek eigenlijk belangrijker is. De spelers die goed kunnen pvp'en winnen niet altijd, en dat is zo leuk aan Skywars zoals het nu is.

I think what you say is a better thing that they have on the server!
If I'm not good at PVP I literally go practice with someone that is better then me, but then I become a little better.

The tournament I would not because like others said if there a player that is not good in skywars/PVP.
And then you have a better player that joins the game that is not fun for the rest of the players.

This has been asked a lot in other threads, I still don't think it has te be added, because there are a lot of other ways to practice pvp. A lot of players like to just play for fun and playing skill-based games takes the fun out of it in my opinion.

And, if you want to have the fairest pvp-experience possible, why don't you play Duels then? That way, you cannot complain about campers and cleaners and players who are better than you. You probably do not play Duels that much as it is not as fun as Skywars. And that is why Skywars is so fun, because of the variety, of the unique players. Even the Alex-skins you encounter are real people behind their keyboard trying to do something. That is what fun about Skywars. Creating tiers will only remove variety and fun. After all, there are not enough servers to make this possible I believe. Waiting times will be increased, if this would be implemented.
