Okey you showed me a video of someone bypassing sentinel. Yea that can happen. An anti cheat isn’t a 100% hacker proof. So please stop complaining about it.

My advice is to help the server by reporting the cheaters and giving real feedback. Something that can help the staff/ management team.

yes, i did on your profile page (STAFF THIS IS NOT PROMOTING HACKS)
The person in the video which you linked is using a private config. He has specifically modified this client to be able to bypass CubeCraft's Anti-Cheat and since it's not public it can be very hard for Loony to actually patch it. Making bold claims about Sentinel being terrible is pointless if you base them of something that can be accomplished with basically any Anti-Cheat.

How did this thread turn from being a suggestion about making a sub-forum about criticism to about whether or not Sentinel receives updates?

crit·i·cism
noun
  1. the expression of disapproval of someone or something based on perceived faults or mistakes.

Okay, criticism is not necessarily a bad thing, despite it usually having negative connotation behind it. However other users above have already pretty much said what I want to say about the suggestion in question. The idea of this sub-forum sounds rather pointless to me. What I rather see on the forum is constructive criticism if anything. A rant/complaint about the server does not exactly help anyone. Which I'm sure this sub-forum will result in, if it were ever to become a thing. Just taking the list I compiled, just exactly how many of them would you consider constructive? To me, it mostly looks like threads written within 5 minutes fueled by emotions. Even if they are to some extent still relevant, what purpose do these threads serve if any?

This is especially true for subjects like Sentinel, when the average player does not know how it operates or a patch for it.

Criticisms like these don't exactly serve a purpose other than to just criticize. They aren't viable solutions, neither do they offer any direct solution:
Then why do flys still work after a year later
I spoke to a few hacked client devs, and they said that sentinel is bad because it barley receives any updates. I agree with them 100%
yes they do, this is exacly why theres so many fly hackers on cubecraft. Theres also a hacked client that was cracked and source code was leaked and STILL WORKS so how are you gona tell me that sentinel "receives alot of updates"

If you have a criticism, okay, go ahead and share it. No ones stopping you, but you have to keep in mind that for certain topics, there's only so much that can be said. To some degree, a lot of the topics you've mentioned in the OP has become as redundant as 1.9 combat vs 1.8 combat. If there's nothing new to be added...
To sum it up:

The problem with having a designated criticism thread is that it will not serve much purpose. The Suggestions section allows players to offer criticisms whilst encouraging them to offer solutions. A criticism-based section would remove the improvement factor, and anybody who offers ideas for improvement may just as well have used the Suggestions section, where it would have been better received and by a larger audience.

Also, having criticisms appear on the front page of the website throughout the day (as they inevitably will as players begin to air their complaints for the sake of using the new section) will give the server a poor image to visitors or new-comers; no matter how true our complaints may be, I doubt we want to turn players away from the server, do we?

Oops, turns out I just repeated everything Ice has said. That'll teach me to only read the first page of replies.

Even if you got this from a Moderator, that wouldn’t prove a point. Around my time as a Moderator we were not really made aware about most changes of Sentinel, only Management and Developers knew something about it, but thanks for mentioning that someone is leaking information, i’m sure Management will get behind this so your source must look out :) or they ban the wrong leaker (“:

It's actually not necessary to look for a leaker in this case, because that information is just outright false.

As for the suggestion, a criticism subforum is quite pointless, there are already places for you to vent your frustrations. A criticism in itself is entirely useless if it is not constructive and, as was pointed out already, a constructive criticism is a suggestion.

Was more meant to be sarcastic :P it’s obvious that he’s just throwing around with arguments without having any evidence

I see that we have derailed from the main topic <creating a sub-forum for criticism> quite a bit, so let us get back on track.

Criticism X
Constructive Criticism (C&C) O
When I first read the OP thread, the first thing that came into my mind was 「suggestions」because :
If you make a critism thread you’re trying to mske cube change something, and thats called a suggestion

So do I believe a new sub-forum is needed, no.
Either way, it was not a bad suggestions so keep them coming.

Even if we do end up creating it, C&C may not be taken well as most players tend to take it offensively.
Some people want to be right all the time, I'm not pointing fingers but I believe it wouldn't be ideal for now.
