Friends told me to repost so here you go:

So you know that when you click to edit poll if there was anything you forgot to do you could fix it?
No.
Because I just realized that you can check the box for. "Display votes publicly" And I like to do that so by accidentally starting the poll kind screws it up for me.

Implement, please?

Staff can edit it, so if you have an issue with a poll that you made, then feel free to let a staff know. (:
In my opinion: for now, I think that it should remain staff only, but that is my opinion.

Hold up. You know this is for seeing who viewed and what not right?
I don't understand why it needs to be staff only if you accidentally forgot to click it.
Why have the feature if you can't go back and fix it without a staff member.
If I make a thread and make a mistake I shouldn't have to bother a staff member with more important issues to deal with go and fix something that takes 2 seconds.
Also, want to ask why it is staff only.

Little confused. o_O

I had no say in why it is staff only, but I think it is to avoid any type of abuse. Since the poll system is all one system, I don't know how easy it would be to separate one part of the system to make it so everyone could edit it.
Staff love to help (: so I am sure it won't be an issue (and I have yet to run into an issue where someone has messed up their poll and needed it fixed).

I don't understand how you can abuse it. It's to see who voted what. I understand about the system thing but I'm wondering why even implement the feature to begin with if you're not going to have it accessible after you create the thread. Kind of makes it pointless. Yeah this type of thing is never really an issue but I would hope to keep it that way.

I think it makes sense this way. When I vote, I can see if the vote is public and decide whether I want people to see my opinion. If someone can just change it afterwards, an anonymous vote makes no sense and it might as well be forced to be public.

Although you shouldn’t have to feel that way when you vote, but I understand your view point.

The ability to edit a poll after posting is a whole can of worms that will end up with people changing poll options to fit desired outcomes after votes have been cast. This isn't something that is going to change. The difference between editing a poll to change an option and editing to change the contents is irrelevant, it's classed as the same permission.

Ok, the thread can be locked then.

But can you still request for it to be changed after a thread is made?
