Powerups in Snowman Survival can be so useful, but yet hard to use. You could get super frustrated by being converted on your way to stun a snowman with a Snowman Stabber. Here are some good ways to use the powerups. You can trust me on this, I have played about 2.2k total games of this.

General
Powerups have all different colors of name tags above them, and some are larger than others. If you see an orange name tag, it is a Snowman Stabber or a Decoy. Determine what it is from far away or through a wall by looking at the length of its name. Jump boost is light green, speed is light blue, shield is light gray, gravity explosive is dark gray, etc. Also, make sure you don't show your powerups! Snowmen can see your powerups if you hold them normally, but all you have to do to fix this is select a different slot in your hotbar! There was a time I converted someone instead of getting stabbed but they would've got me if they weren't showing their powerup.

Snowman Stabber
This powerup has an orange name and is the hardest to use. It is best used for defense, so don't run up to a snowman. Once you are good at dodging snowballs, you can go to the snowmen and use this aggressively... at your own risk. Don't go straight towards a snowman with this though. Try to sneak behind them or jump at them around a corner!

Gravity Explosive
When you see a dark gray colored name tag for a powerup, you know you've seen one of these. These can blast snowmen and snowballs away, with a 1-second delay. One second before a snowman throws a snowball at you, you can use this to block it. Often this is best for when you just dodged a snowball and the snowman is following you, waiting to hit you when his snowball automatically returns.

Fireball
This powerup is best used all at a time so that it is harder for the snowman to dodge. If you want this powerup, look for a red name tag. That's really all the tips I have for this one, except that the fireball shoots slightly higher than your crosshair in the middle of your screen. Watch out for that!

Shield
With a light gray name tag, shield makes you vulnerable if you're holding the shield. Period. Note that the snowball bounces off the shield and that it breaks when it is hit, so don't let the snowball bounce off the shield, onto a wall, and back onto you.

Speed
The best way to evade a horde of snowmen with speed is simply to run away from them, then run around a corner, then run through them! Yes, this works, I've tried it over a thousand times. It only failed once or twice. Look for a light blue name tag and you have a lot of power for the next 5 to 10 seconds!

Jump boost
Not only can you climb quickly with this, but more parkour jumps open up to you once you go to that green name tag saying "Jump Boost". This is also an excellent powerup to jump over snowballs. Note that one mistake I see a lot while seeing someone with jump boost is that they jump too much. When you have jump boost, try not to jump unless you really need to so that snowmen can't see you can jump over their snowballs!

Instant Wall
With a dark green name tag, many think this powerup is great for blocking snowballs. That is not true, because the Instant Wall is not instant. It spawns from bottom to top and snowmen can jump over it or throw their snowballs over it. This is good for two things: Stopping a snowman from going through a narrow hall and building a bridge. Walking along the top of an Instant Wall can really help!

Decoy
This has an orange name tag like the snowman stabber, but a shorter name. Try not to be midair when you place this, otherwise it is obvious it is a decoy. Instead, find a hiding spot and put it there. If no one finds the decoy, you will be invisible for 30 seconds.

Leap or Blink
Both of these powerups are pretty much the same. Leap is dark green, Blink is pink. Both are best used for getting up onto a platform to get away from a snowman. Note that blink is no faster than a snowman running. You can get hit while using Leap, but you are invincible while using Blink. You can use this to go through a snowball. Leap can be used for an extra speed boost. Personally, I find leap is better because it is faster, but you may find Blink better because it gives a short invincibility.
