No. Your data, saves etc. will stay, as longs as you use the same account (Changing usernames won't do anything. ;)).

There's something called the UUID, that is basically your account, if you change your name, your UUID stays the same, and it's the UUID that servers keep track of. So changing your name won't make your stats or ranks go away.

You will not lose any in-game statistics, ranks, vanity items or punishments (bans, mutes)

Like everyone here said, you can change your nickname and be just fine. All your data is attached to your account, not your name.
