In my opinion, This suggestion is useless, as said above.
You already have signatures, In signature. You can type anything,
including : Age, Gender, Rank, Language, In-game Name, Level (and more...)
But, Thanks for suggesting it though :)

I've seen similar ideas, including ideas about having a tag when you have been on the forums for over a year. I don't think that ranks should be shown on the forums, this is because it's not your rank that defines you. I'm perfectly happy putting mine in my signature, though, I'm not doing that for some reasons. :P -- Keep this in my opinion. :)

As Already said signatures are there for you and linking accounts to game isn't as sound as you may think anyways

Personally, I see nothing wrong with this idea. But instead of just showing ranks, it should show the amount of points, vanity points, level, etc. It would go well with the online stats, that has been suggested quite a bit (>.>). You can use your signature to show all of this, but I think some big website updates would be pretty cool.

Linking accounts is a pretty common practice on some other forums I've seen, along with some websites.
