So I know I've posted this before, but I feel it really really needs to be added, so I'm doing it again (and no, it's not necroposting). Also, I feel as I can make this suggestion better so...

If someone commits an offense on the server that (as of now) requires warnings before reporting, you should have the ability to directly report without giving warnings. However, if you do not warn the violator, staff will put a warning on their record, and they will be notified that they got a warning because [offense] as soon as staff apply the warning or as soon as the log into the game after the warning gets applied if they were offline at that time. After that, punishments get applied as normal. And yes, the warnings are viewable in multiple languages. Most servers use the mentioned system, so if you do not understand what I'm saying, check out the other servers. If the reporter warns before reporting however, the violator will be immediately punished.

Most new players do not know that warnings are required!
This is reasonable because most servers do not require players to give warnings, and on some servers, is considered minimodding. It's not like you're required to read the reporting guidelines before logging on.
Violators may not take player-given warnings seriously.
Have you ever told someone that cross-teaming (or another offense) was not allowed, only to have them totally not believe you? Maybe they even jeered back. If however, staff applied a warning onto their record and they get notified, then they will know what they are doing is wrong.
Can't type warnings if you're in PvP or other intense situation.
Especially annoying if you have a bad typing speed!
Can't give warnings if you're muted.
The way it currently is, it's abusable.

You're pretty much free to randomly insult people until they tell you to stop, then you stop insulting them, knowing you will not get punished. Then after that, you can go insult other players. I do understand that if it gets repetitive, the violator will get punished regardless, but still.

If you wish to downvote this suggestion, give reasons or it doesn't count!

I don't really like this. It seems overly complex and warning players is not that hard either.

Read the spoiler in the post please.

You must specify why it is making things complicated. I'm making this suggestion to simplify things. Don't you think it is simpler to not have to say anything at all (answer: yes).

Yes, for you it is less complex but on someone else's end it is more complicated and they have more work. It would give the staff more work to do, and they are busy dealing with more important things than warning rule breakers that can be warned by a normal player. I can see that this is going to go back and forth between us for some time so this is my last post on this thread so I am not spamming.

Staff will not always be there.

deep inside my mind...
So if they swear the get a auto warning?
From how I interpret it, I think he's wanting a system where you don't have to give any warnings in chat and just be able to report for an offense. If the player hasn't been warned for said offense before then they get a warning. If they have, then they get the intended mute punishment.

Though, honestly, I prefer things the way they are. Yeah, you're gonna get those people who don't listen (that happens even when it's a staff warning them in chat) or whatever. You're also going to get the players who try to report others without warnings, but they learn after being told that a warning is needed.

At least the "one warning needed" is better than the "three warnings needed" from before.

Well Snodia, the way that I put it is that he want's staff to monitor games

What are you really trying to say? @CattyCat

Well it's displayed when the game starts and it is on the info board. They need to know teaming isn't allowed in solo. It's also easier to give them warnings yourself than this complicated code.

Do it the way most servers do: first offense: player gets warning when report is submitted. Second offense: regular punishment. Staff won't have to monitor games, they'll just have to monitor reports as they do now. They way Snodia is saying it.
You're also going to get the players who try to report others without warnings, but they learn after being told that a warning is needed.

Each time that happens though, somebody usually gets away with an offense. Besides, what if you're muted?

So... how would this auto-warning thing worked? Sounds as if the Devs have their work cut out, and they are working on many projects I think
