In the direction that Mojang is going, Minecraft will die eventually. What will happen to the server?

Well if Minecraft dies, the are no players left. A server without players is like a turtle without a shell. They are combined with each other. But I don't think Minecraft will die that fast, there are soo many cool things coming our way! (Llamas :p)

That's true, but I'm still not sure about how Minecraft is doing...

In minecraft's perspective, a year isn't that long.
In cubecraft's perspective, a year is an eternity.

By the time minecraft completely dies out, you'd have probably stopped playing as well and not be too interested in cubecraft anymore.
But it's nothing to worry about as minecraft has allot of space to improve on.

Now that's a sentence that makes me laugh.
Because Minecraft is more popular now than ever before.
it started out as a small indie game that nobody knew about
Now YouTube is full of Minecraft videos
There are tons of Minecraft servers
Minecraft has official year conventions
It's just not gonna die anytime® soon™.
Will it die? Maybe. Every game does. Aside from Tetris, and a few Nintendo old original franchises.
Will it die soon? No.
If Minecraft dies CCG would probably not have existed for long.
But if you want my opinion, Minecraft will keep living for a looooong time.

While minecraft will die eventually if is not happening anytime soon. Most of the updates Im ok with and none are breaking the game or make it a pain to play. You can always play in earlier version if you don't like updates as some people with 1.7 for a long time now xD If this is about windows 10 edition taking over and being hard to mod don't worry. :P You may not know it but even if it becomes impossible (somehow) to make plugins or mods for windows 10 edition there is the vanilla server base which is becoming incrediy diverse with command blocks which will be added to windows 10 edition. Currently there are a lot of vanilla kit pvp servers out there 1 which I have helped develop a little :P Also there is even a full out vanilla minigames server out here that has all your basic minigames like skywars, prison, skyblock, bed wars, and more all done with command blocks. I'm currently helping another friend make yet another vanilla minigames server so these types are servers are just going to keep coming and become more and more popular as people find better methods for using command blocks. You would be surprised at all the things you can make in vanilla minecraft and I would suggest maybe checking out the vanilla community in the future :P In summary minecraft has a long future ahead of it and has incredibly big things coming :D

Minecraft will die but, not anytime soon. Mojang is not even CLOSE to let Minecraft die. Don't worry. I honestly feel like Minecraft will NEVER die. I mean, it's like pacman. It's a game that will never be forgotten. I feel like the game will never come to an end anytime soon. Also, for the server, well, I guess it'll just be shut down.. Sadly :(
