I think maybe you could add fishing rods and/or knockback weapons to the game. It would cost more than a normal weapon, depending on the knockback (if it were a knockback item)

Fishing rod - this has been suggested and denied before because staff want bows to be the only projectile based item.
Knockback sword - you can already get punch bows, but a knockback sword would be too overpowered considering people will definitely rush to islands and knock everyone off. -1

Yes I think this would be too annoying and OP. The punch bow is already really eggective and I like the wait time between shots. With an item you could just spam someone off the edge. It wouldn't make the game as fun. Good try though :)
I kind of like how eggwars is not like skywars where the goal is to. Knock the other player off rather than out pvp them. Fishing rods would be good if they actually used 1.9 rods :(
