Meh... not everyone likes 1.8 like me.
With shields decreasing some damadge and Gapples actually healing you, your HP doesn't go from 20 > 0 in a few seconds.
Sorry but I prefer 1.9 UHC only or a 1.9 AND 1.8 UHC Server.

Gotta get them mad strafes in :P or if collision hitboxes are off you can just walk through them :D also I pvp'ed some people who are better than me at 1.9 pvp in a snapshot and you could not win without using a shield yourself against a shield user so pvp is going to be a lot different. Thankfully most cubecraft games dont have shields that are easy to get :D

Just use lava, FnS, or fire aspect. Those will force them to unblock or take continuous, unblockable fire damage.
