I think that it is a bit of a "dick move" to allow people to unlock an arrow trail, but not able to buy it because they need a rank to earn vanity points. People should be able to earn daily vanity points, just 100 not 500. I unlocked the dust arrow trail, and it is now useless to me, because I don't plan on feeding this server my cash. I'm pretty sure the Eula doesn't let you do that, so I can't wait for the server to either clean up its act and stop being greedy, or get blacklisted.

Against EULA...? No its allowed
I know people dont have enough money for it but just get a Rank or win one at Giveaways or events ;)
Cube isn't greedy but It needs donations to keep running you're probably not aware how much it costs to pay Devs and the Server it self :/

EULA has everything to do with in-game advantages. Vanity items are cosmetic features so we're safe. ;)

If you could edit that, please, thanks, bai.

I don't agree with this, but ok. 100 vanity points every day would be more than donators get (500 every week).

I think needing vanity points and finding it in a Cubelet are oriented to donators, so they also need some "luck" with finding it instead of collecting points and buying it immediately.

Let me quickly clarify some stuff
1st what you are saying would take away the point of buding a rank for vanity items
2nd giving ranks cosmetic abilities cant get a server blacklisted
3rd what you are suggesting is as @mateu9999 said against the eula. I personally dont like the Eula and I have my reasons for that but cubecraft wants to stay eula compliant and i respect their decision.
Also from all the eula drama I noticed on a different server even cubecraft has something non-eula compliant.

Um? Tell us please?
Well the server got blacklisted for voting rewards. Players paying their time to vote to get things. I might just be wrong since cubecrafts votes are cosmetic stuff and their voting reward was ingame gameplay affecting stuff.

Cubecraft is aware of the changes and that is also why we, the players, do no longer get rewards from voting. If Cubecraft really got blacklisted, we will get off the blacklist soon. :) Read this for more information. https://www.cubecraft.net/threads/reward-voting-custom-kit-changes.145022/

Even if cubecraft would be blacklisted I wouldn't notice it. I have my way around the blacklist I can join any blacklisted server.
It basically blocks Cubecraft from updating to future updates likes 1.11. If Cubecraft got blocked the playercount would decrease drastically and Cubecraft would fall... So let's listen to the EULA ;)

Against EULA? Really?
A server violates the EULA if the Rank perks give any in-game advantages.
Just because you need a Rank / Vanity Points to unlock an arrow trial provides no ingame advantages. It just gives you a different arrow trial.

Just to clear things up, I'll give a few examples how a server DOES violate the EULA
Example 1:
Only people with a Rank can get a certain kit in gamemodes
Example 2: Only ranked people can get full enchanted diamond gear for free in a KitPVP server.
Example 3: Let's say only people with a Rank get free supplies in SkyBlock / Factions every day.

These examples violate the EULA. An arrow trial isn't violating it at all.

Yes I can understand and respect cubecrafts decision to stay eula compliant. But the reason why I personally hate the EULA is pretty complex. Well I accept that the Eula tries to get rid of p2w servers and I am fine with that. I dont really hate the eula. I hate the way microsoft is leading minecraft. As you probably know microsoft bought mojang for 2 billion dollars. Shortly after, the first second official payment for minecrft was released. Realms. Realms on its own is fine with me but now lets add the Eula back in. The reason the server I played on got blacklisted is simple. They first tried to comply with the eula but everytime they got a eula compliant webstore microsoft changed his mind and with it the eula and they had to remake the webstore again. In the end they just decided to (insert a very bad word here) the eula.
Microsoft made realms the first officially by mojang hosted servers. Then they started enforcing the eula onto servers to get them blacklisted for the dumbest reasons so more people play realms and they make more money. Notch and jeb developed the game to be fun. Microsoft is developing the game to get more money or at least that is what my current thoughts are.

oh I misunderstood you. Yes these examples obviously violate the eula, but still giving out vanity points to non-donors takes away the purpose of a donor rank.

Ehm its not Microsoft...
Mojang still has 100% control over Minecraft...
Quite from Notch
"If I made the EULA it would be 10 times worse."
So yeah we got lucky and thak Jeb for that...

although many people think its wrong microsoft bought mojang and not minecraft. microsoft bought the entire company and not just one game. Yes Mojang has 100% control over minecraft. And microsoft has 100% control over Mojang.

This is completely EULA complaint. The EULA basically says that there shouldn't be any game-changing enhancements for donators. This means that vanity/cosmetics are allowed, voting is allowed, but rank-specific kits (#RIPSkywars2k15) are not.

I don't know why this became a discussion about how much the EULA sucks, when I made it because its stupid that I can unlock the trail, but never use it, because I can afford a rank. (Not that I can't afford it, I have a job, my parents just wont let me.) All I am saying is that they should at least let people without ranks earn 100 vanity points a week, and rank owners earn 500 points. Thats all I was asking for. If you have anything to say about the EULA, then go make a new thread but this thread is about allowing people without money to unlock vanity items. Its dumb that I can use my lava drip trail, but not my dust arrow trail. I guess because the lava drip trail is for the lobby, so you dont get to see it that much, and the arrow trail is in-game, so they can't let how have a fun trail without paying first. It does not take that much money to run a server. Anywhere from 10-200 dollars a month, depending on your host. I would guess this server has a pretty good host, so I'm gonna say at least 150-200 dollars a month. Now, I have a job and when I worked I got payed every 2 weeks, my first check, I cant remember how much I worked, but I did get over 200 dollars. So they should be able to keep up the server themselves, also with the people who do by ranks, the largest one is $150 so they are already paying for most of it that month. The truth is, you don't need that much money to run a server anyway, for all we know the owner could have made the server himself, and is making money off it. So seriously just let non-rank owners have 100 vanity points a week, so I can buy my trail!
