I think this would work perfectly fine, there is no way to abuse it and it would save staff some time :)

@BanBoy, people tag staff members to lock their thread, and now they can do it theirselves, saves staff some time. Also people lock a thread so that other people know that it has been resolved, and to avoid necroposting.

Locking you're own thread isn't abusing it. you created it, so i think you should be able to lock it on you're own. plus, the staff members will like it too c:

People making an offensive post and then lock it... Even tho staff could react to it normal members cant...
They will get forum banned. And it is their own decision, if they dont want people to respond, they dont want people to respond
Why would you give the mod's even more work? its great as it is now! sometimes you don't have to give the people so much power ...
You would give the mods less work, they wouldnt have to lock threads player could do that now! Also, staff already deal with offensive posts, so it doesn't give them more work.

Today, something awesome happened! I had just mined over 90 iron and coal in skyblock. Then, I put them in 2 furnaces. I had to leave for a few seconds, so I went to the lobby and left. When I came back, ALL OF THEM WERE GONE. The three signs I placed, all the iron and coal, gone. NO ONE WAS ONLINE. I have to get them again, I suppose. At that point, I was thinking about my existence and how my luck is so good! :D
