I have a brother, who plays Minecraft in my house. I am pretty sure we don't have the same IP. When I do vote, he can't and vice-versa, and the voting website says "You already voted today"
Also, in another server's description, next to its image it said "Welcome [My username] instead of his (still on his PC)
I hope some of you can help me. Thanks.

You can vote only once a day with one IP-address. But you say that you've got 2 Different IP-addresses so I'm not sure what the problem is. The only tip I can give you at the moment is to double check if your brother really isn't connected to the same IP- address.

If both you and your brother do this it may help determine if you and your brother are on the same IP address. These instructions are for a windows PC.

1) press the windows button and R (this should bring up a little box which you can enter text into)

2) Type CMD into the box and press enter.

3) A black box should appear with a flashing white line next to a piece of text. Click where the flashing line is and type in ipconfig

4) Scroll down to find your "default gateway" . If both yours and your brothers default gateway are the same then it means your on the same router, which should mean your on the same IP. That means that you cannot both vote. Only one vote is allowed per IP.

The other option (A lot simpler) is to type IP into google on both computers and see if they are the same xD

Hopefully this helps, tell me if it does :-D

*I like making long lists of instructions, it's weird but fun*

I checked both Ip and Ipv4.
If you are in the same house use a vpn. (VPN = Thing that change's your ip.)
I'll look for that (edit) Uhm, wait. VPN is a virtual private connection how con creating one change IP?

I googled "IP" and our ip is different. The Gateway is the same though. I think(?) this helped :)

Ok seriously guys, my brother connection's got a problem. When I am online, he keeps loosing connection to the server, and vice-versa if he connects first. Is it really that difficult to change IP?

Well this started with you can't vote twice in the same house, what turned that you have connection problems. Maybe plug out your cable, wait a couple of minutes and put it back in. Maybe that it'll work?

Alright. It's installed. What location should I connect to? Also, it says "500mb remaining" Is that the limit to the traffic?! Like wat?!

So far I know MB stands for Mega Byte. :p
But I guess it has nothing to do with. :p
*cough* I do know that, I'm concerned about that being the limit of the total traffic, wich is REALLY low considering i need to play an online game. But I trust you so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
And again, what is the location supposed to be selected?

Guys I feel like... THE DUMBEST PERSON ON THE WORLD remember when I said we had different IPs?

.-.

I was wrong. We have the same IP. So, the source of the problems. I tried tunnelbear but it's got a limit of data traffic per month, so I guess i'll figure out if my Internet Provider can change IP or I can manually do so.
Thanks everyone, you helped me solve this problem.
And realize I'm an idiot.
:P
(Seriously, thank you so much everybody!)
