@rubik_cube_man Rubik.... Seriously sky block MAJORLY needs upgrading 3 minuets after a crash or restart its fine then after those joyful minuets its laggy as heck and u cant get a block without breaking it 10 times literally.. I seriously am suggesting to upgrade it. I know the server has a budget and its really expensive to host a large server but its getting desperate. PLEASE consider

But @javid1234b server lag means it doesnt have enough bandwidth or something if they upgraded the bandwidth then itd be fine so.. 'server lag' means the server cant handle whats happening (cpu wize) So basically im asking him to upgrade the CPU

To upgrade even one server on the CCG network especially a main, huge server like skyblock costs money. I'm not saying They couldn't afford to upgrade it. I'm just saying that it's probably not on the top of their list right now. Since the EULA changes the server has probably had to be more careful with what they spend their money on, general server maintenance probably being one of the most important. I once saw a price tag on the servers that they use and trust me, they're not cheap enough just to be swapping out for bigger ones willy nilly. The server will be swapped out when the head staff see it necessary. If you really want them to upgrade the servers then donate. Or buy them a CPU and send it to them.

The Eula made it so not as many people donate, and that is how they get their money. they might have enough money to do this, but they have lives to. They have to eat, have water, and have shelter. This is not their top priority, but I think that they will do this in the future.

There's a few ways you can reduce lag on a server, and the owners have tried all of the following already:
  • Remove/delete mobs
  • Limit mob spawn rate
  • Turn down server-side chunk render distance
The following can be done to reduce lag further:
  • Decrease the number of players allowed on the server
  • Delete unused loaded chunks
Decreasing server size obviously has the detriment of reducing how many players can play Skyblock at once, and deleting unused chunks would not only be tedious, but would also result in older players returning to find their islands gone and being quite upset about that. I can't really think of anything else that can be done to combat lag without sacrificing crucial parts of the game like mobs or the nether.

There are hundreds of inactive islands not in use. Why not remove some of them? It wouldn't hurt to reduce the limit on the number of players that can join at one time too, as taco said above me :)
