Help!!! Can no longer craft green dye!!!

I am swear I am going crazy as I have already completed the green carpet quest but now that I need to create lime dye there is no longer an option for crafting green dye. Even searching for it in the recipe book shows nothing. I have restarted the game multiple times and tried different crafting tables but still nothing... Is this a bug?

to make green dye you need to put a cactus in a furnace
