Fishing challenge help

Hello, I am currently doing the fishing challenge. I have had two fishing rods, both of them hardly damaged ( they are still on green) but they keep breaking. I’ve tried messaging the support team on her but the always seem to be offline. Wondering if anyone knows why it’s doing this and how to fix it?

They only have 64 durability, despite Vanilla rods having much more. You can check durability at an Anvil, or just only use 60 times, then repair

I’d say I used it between 10-20 times before it broke, but thank you x
