Bedrock IP bans

Whenever I am told they dont do IP bans, the reason is because they can just use a VPN. Lets be honest, how many hackers would be smart enough to even know what a VPN is? Most of them are kids who downloaded an app on the playstore. IP bans could probably cut the amount of hackers in half, since most of them are alts. How much more work would it really be to IP ban?

Every ban is essentially an IP ban. Bypassing your ban is not allowed, and Sentinel can detect this and ban accordingly.

I believe all bans should be IP-bans. Yes, a VPN can be use to bypass IP-bans but it would still prevent people who do not use a VPN from joining a network thus decreasing the amount of people bypassing a punishment.

I could be wrong but Sentinel should enforce bans on Bedrock too. VPNS aren’t allowed on Cubecraft btw and are blocked from joining.

Senteniel doesn't quite do anything at all on Bedrock yet. VPNs are actually blocked on Bedrock, yes, but all of them start with code "V" and not "S" (senteniel). This is not the issue though since as mentioned, I doubt the kids that exploit can actually figure out how to use a VPN. On that note, it's a +1 from me. You wouldn't believe how many hackers I've caught that have multiple free Xbox accounts to alt on.

sentinel cant ban on bedrock

I know but I believe that players should be ip-banned. I just grouped in the system that attempts to block VPNS and stops people from ban bypassing.
