Java duels for 1.8.9

So there are duels with the /Duel <Name> command, but that is only for 1.9 and above!
maybe it is possible to get this to 1.8-1.8.9 because the 1.9+ maps are too small for a good 1.8.9 match.
so maybe a little bit bigger for 1.8.9 you don't need it to be big but it is just better.

This has been suggested multipile times, but I would love to see duels for 1.8.

I love 1.8 (combat is more fun) and having duels would be amazing. I wish they'd added it as soon as it became a gamemode.

I feel like they would have to remake the kits for 1.8 though, like at least add rods to most of the kits, because I feel like 1.8 without a rod is really boring and it doesn't really show who's actually better... Maybe the maps could be a problem too as some of them are pretty small, but personally I would like to see 1.8 Duels.

I think this a good idea. Thought it should be added in the future.

Personally I’ve never like 1.8 PvP style but I think it should be fair to add duels for people who like it, if I was a 1.8 player I’d like to face my friends in a 1v1 and The fact that it hasn’t been implemented yet seems unfair to me as I already said before.

Yes, this idea is great. I've had to switch servers every time I wanted to duel someone and I've never liked the 1.9 update so I think this should definitely be added.
