I'd say, just ignore what he said, if the rulebreaker is rightly punished then I understand that people are annoyed because they/he cannot do anything on the server. And the last thing, he won't report you if you haven't done anything. All you have to do is ignore. I also do if I have my reactions open.

We provide users with the evidence provided, should they decided to appeal, that way they know what to appeal for exactly.
