Why can't I hit people?

When I play skywars the other players seem to hit me before I am even close to them does anyone know why this is? Thanks!

some players time it when they start hitting if they hit you you get knockback and cant hit them anymore. than they walk closer adn hit you again

Some people practised maybe real hard and have mastered the trick to time their hits perfectly. You cant hit them if they hit you first at the exact time.

Its really annoying, I agree with you iiMLGPanda. I don't know why it happen.

I also have it sometimes and at my point is is happening by block hitting... that is my problem with it.
