Waiting times for crops

So, a big problem imo with skyblock is the time. For example really quick, birch trees take 12h pretty sure and the reason im making a big thing out of it is that why would it take that long? Yes, I know they probably dont want us speeding through the quests where you have to farm trees but its a MAIN quest so we have to either way so its sort of annoying to have to wait half of our day for one tree but again, this is my opinion so if you like it, go ahead and like it and if you dont agree or dont like it go with what you think.

Trees have intentionally long wait times in order to avoid players from just crusing through the islands quickly, in additon you eventually unlock boosts which already can reduce waiting times 50% so reducing it further could become too overpowered

I suggest working on other things (Other quests, building, expanding farms, etc.) while your waiting

I understand your pain lol. I’m not one to do side quests or make a house and all that jazz. I want to get a burst of dopamine and I only got from working on the main quests. It’s part of the game we just gotta deal with. Is it bad game design? Maybe. Is it smart game design? Definitely. Hopefully the end doesn’t turn out to be more waiting

I played skyblock aswell and stopped bc the trees would take 12 hours the jungle one and i didnt like to wait so i stopped

I would wait until you get to the nether and get glowstone. You will then be able to craft sensors/ boosters
