I vaguely recall making a thread suggesting this, but I couldn't find it so here's hoping it's not a repost. ^^;
As we all know, Skyblock's been incredibly laggy lately. To combat this lag, the spawn rate for mobs seems to have been nerfed (or completely turned off at times.) My suggestion is to lower the default render server-side render distance down from 10 chunks to 8 chunks.

Brief Explanation of what this means: A server renders 10 chunks around a player in a radius regardless of their client-side render distance. You could set it to 1 chunk or 16 chunks, but the server will at all times render and load no more and no less than 10 chunks around the player.

This means that there's 441 chunks loaded per solitary player. My suggestion would be to turn that radius down by 2 chunks, thus making only 289 chunks loaded per solitary player. That's 35% less chunks to load per player. This would help a TON considering that the number of loaded chunks tend to be a bigger issue than the number of entities. (This might be different due to Skyblock's massive dearth of blocks, but 35% less work is 35% less work.)

Let me know what you think, if I'm missing anything, or if there's any concerns with this idea. I'd love your feedback @halothe23 and @rubik_cube_man .
