I believe @_The13thDoctor_ suggested to automatically move the tower to an appropriate place, it would be great if they added that

But the solution isn't to automatically move or prevent placement of towers, as that prevents reservations, temporarily placing towers in 5x5 spaces if you need more towers fast, or placing 5x5 towers in 3x3 spaces in maps with very few 5x5 spaces where you run out. Maybe a message saying "This isn't a good place to place the tower, place it in a checkered/solid space (referring to the grid for new players). Click the blaze powder in the upgrade menu to remove the tower.", but still allowing the tower to be placed, so if it was intentional, they can keep the tower.
