They obviously aren’t 100% random as they’d spawn in places that are impossible to get to if they were but
Random to the extent of being able to be found
As for the thread I think my best was around 10 seconds
It was a bit further away
The chest spawned inside of me while I was AFK. I think this tops it. (didn't f1 at the time, soz)
