texture packs

this might sound nooby, but i cant get half of my texture packs to activate because when i open them the have a folder that says "assets" and some other things like text and pictures. when i get one that works right, it has one folder that has the name of the pack

Just put the whole .zip file in the resource pack folder. That works for me.
