So, apparently it’s nowadays just ‘OK’ to call everyone ape on cubecraft and pretending you can ban players around everywhere. Like this guy below I reported after he already claimed the first towers. No explanation was given besides the fact my report was denied, of course.

Since it’s OK I thought let this become the new cubecraft style. Like instead of ‘I don’t like you’ or ‘please place your tower elsewhere’ we now say ‘I BAN YOU’ or ‘GT.O YOU APE’. Or what about the ‘Apes like you should get banned’. It’s clearly all ok anyways and gives cubecraft that nice special unique touch. Of course since staff don’t bother to explain their choices anyways you won’t get trouble when someone reports. Just like that ass that kept bothering me through the entire game and apparently gets away with it.

Kind regards,

Glaucus

Ps, let’s make it a competition. Post your best in game ‘ape’ or ‘I shall ban’ you comment towards another player below. And remember, it’s cubecraft approved.

Just because this single incident was not punished by staff, does not make what was said "approved", or legal to say to others. Though, what were you expecting, a week-long mute for being called an 'ape'? Unless this was a racially-motivated insult, which your lone screenshot does not suggest it was, this insult doesn't even warrant a slap on the wrist. It's disrespectful, of course, but for it to warrant any form of punishment would be extreme, and the punishment system we have today was aimed to avoid excessive punishments.

On top of that, without any other sort of context or extra evidence, it is hard to say if he was truly trying to impersonate staff or claim he will "ban" you. Some people say "Banned" or "you are banned" or "I will ban you" as more of a way to say they are reporting you and therefore you will be banned. Also calling someone an "ape" is not really offensive as that is an animal and without anything else there, it is simply not enough for a punishment. If he was saying "I am a mod and you will be banned" or anything else, that would be impersonating like "you will be banned in 5 seconds by me if you do not do this" then it would be punishable. This does not make it "Cubecraft approved" more that you did not have enough context to hold any sort of punishment and therefore that user would not be punished. If you have any complaints about how a report was handled feel free to talk to the staff member that handled it, privately and respectfully, to get some insight into why it was handled the way it was. If they do not respond and you are really curious, you can try to go to the staff manager (Tacosbefriends) and ask him as well.

I've seen people getting muted for less. It's either all ok or none of it is. Cubecraft must make a clear line but so far all they do it 'sometimes mute people for very minor insults' while others get no mute at all while they are being grosly offensive. That's the whole point of this post. It isn't fair and its staff doesn't bother to explain their motivations, making it shady as well.

As I said in my post you can privately message the staff member that handled it, or better yet go to Tacosbefriends as he is the staff manager, if you have any complaints/questions about how your report was handled. You can privately contact me if you have any questions. As for this suggestion, staff do not have to explain why it is denied, but if you do contact them (as I have said a few times) then they could explain it better to you in private.

Nothing makes me feel as nostalgic as CubeCraft
NEWS: Summer event got released today (amazing shadow drop btw, since it didn't get in testing). There's also brand new maps which was not mentioned at all in the Notion post, which was a nice surprise. However, 5 weeks of summer is starting later (July 17 to most likely August 14).
Thanks @LemonyBreak459! for covering it since I woke up to the event releasing
