HELP how to I craft chiseled stone bricks. I know I need to craft stone slabs but it wont let me. I know the recipe for slabs but when i put a stone brick in both slots nothing appears

*Side note. I like to complete all side quests before moving on with the main quests

Uhm... I'm pretty sure a slab is made with 3 items. https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Slab

Where can I get cracked stone bricks?

You can obtain cracked bricks by smelting normal stone bricks in a furnace.
