Recent "NL" Obsession?

Okay, I've been playing on the CubeCraft Gaming Network (CCGN) for a good 9 months now, and recently, I don't know if you've noticed this but I certainly have, everybody recently became obsessed with the letters "NL".
I've looked this up online and it apparently means "No Limit" (probably not the meaning everyone is talking about) and "Netherlands". For some reason recently people randomly chat in game lobbies something along the lines of "Team <insert number/color/team here> NL". And when somebody doesn't say it, people chat "Nederlands team?". Also, in Ultra Hardcore (UHC) people have been naming the teams NL. When the team is full people start naming the teams NL2, NL3, and so on.
Does anybody have any information regarding why the Netherlands became so popular all of a sudden? Because this certainly wasn't the trend when I first joined CubeCraft. Thank you :)

Well, I think that 35-40% of the community is dutch. Some if them already played on this server (like me :P) before it became very popular. But most others joined cuz many dutch yt'ers started to play on this server. :)

I do totally understand your confusion, I am from the netherlands myself so I'll explain it to you.
This server didn't used to have a youtuber rank, before the youtube rank came, there weren't much dutch people, I rarely found dutch people when I was playing 2 years ago,
Then the youtube rank came out, and youtubers recorded on cubecraft with the youtube rank, which gave them perks and stuff, the dutch youtube community is very big, a lot of dutch youtubers play on cubecraft, and that's how all the dutch people came

I'm Dutch and if you say "Team 1 NL" everybody knows that Team 1 is Dutch (Nederlands)

I'm Belgian and I also so speak Dutch, so why am I not popular ?:(
And I'm not sure but I think Dutch people are proud of there country so they like to spam everywhere :P
And just so you all know, We Belgian speak Dutch but we are Belgian so we're not Dutch but we speak it. I know it can get complicated;)
