This is a serious issue, so I'm reposting this. Hey look! New Lucky Islands update!

I seriously feel that one should be able to play Lucky Islands without the use of a resource pack. Everybody knows that the music discs are wands and that the sponges are lucky blocks.

Reasons: Many people cannot install the resource pack, no matter what they try to do to fix it. Being able to play without a resource pack would seriously be beneficial! Also, it can't hurt to implement this, can it (theoretically, it won't take that much development time)? Last of all, why do we need this? Even if they can install the resource pack, it lags some people.

Remember, it is the player's personal choice whether to use it or not. If a player plays without a resource pack, it will not affect other players.

If you are going to downvote the suggestion, be sure to provide a clear and valid explanation as to why. Otherwise, your opinion and vote will not count.

Honestly, I have no idea why they need the resource pack.
Sure it looks awesome and all, but it lags the **** out of some people, and for others, it crashes their computer. Unless if the texture pack is SO that the lucky blocks work, then it's a different story.

I agree with this entirely! The resource pack lags the game, and it can be played without the pack.

I definitely like this. It usually doesn't lag me too much, but when I am not on good wifi I can barely move. As long as it stays optional, I agree.

Yes!!! This needs to be an optional selection. Or maybe even just make it a normal downloadable resource pack. That way you can switch it out or even edit it a bit. Whenever I go into lucky blocks, it can take a minute (sometimes a few minutes) to download the resourcepack. It looks awesome, but I don't like have to constantly lag out trying to download and then remove the pack.

The texturepack for Lucky Islands is because of the wands. If you don't download the texturepack than you'll see a weird thing in stead of a wand. That's why there's a texturepack. Hope it's clear for you all.

Yea, I like this. My minecraft used to always crash whist installing the texture pack. This would be nice but I think it would be confusing with the moded items such as wands etc. But this would be nice for those who don't like it or can't install it.

Great suggestion, I literally can't enter Lucky Islands without it sending my laptop into a meltdown. It tries to download the resource pack and crashes

Every. Single. Time.

I know a way around it but I have to fiddle with a few server settings in the main menu (after the launcher) everytime I want to have a quick game of Lucky, It's pretty time consuming and annoying :/ I'd much rather play without any texture pack, as others have also said. This suggestion could see a huge increase of players returning to Lucky too!

If you post a poll someone shouldn't need to explain their opinion... You can't just ask for people to vote and decide what vote counts and what vote doesn't count :-/

It's player's personal choice on whether to install it or not. It does not affect anyone else. You can still play normally without it- you'll just have to remember which disc is which.

Yes it does. If you downvote without a reason, how can I be sure you aren't just trolling me?

I would be pretty pissed as well if I just worked hard to update an entire game-mode, and have people still critizing it or "suggesting" how to make it better directly afterwards

So do you think we should all just be emotionless robots, and not say anything whether the game was good or bad?

Or even better, do you think we should all throw non-stop compliments at a gamemode despite whether it had major issues or not, just so the staff don't get insulted and remain thinking the gamemode is absolutely perfect in every way, meaning nothing ever gets changed or switched around?

Oh, right.

Suggestions like these are made because a player has found an issue (or has thought of a positive improvement) that hasn't been addressed yet. They aren't made just for the sake of moaning and bringing the staff down, which is what it sounds like you're implying (at least it does to me, anyway)...

So please, instead of posting negative remarks, how about you actually contribute to the thread instead of making everyone who supports this idea feel bad?

Keep in mind, Mac is orgonaizing the forums. I'm guessing his idea was to put a forum for each game and if anyone had any suggestions for that game, then they would put it in the proper place.
Ok, thanks for the clarification.

That's literally the whole point of suggestions- to fix issues or to make things better.

My opinion on Disasters:

It's really good, still mourning Buy 'n Build tho. It would be cool if you could break blocks and build stuff, and the games could go up to 10 minutes.
