Java Pillars of Fortune: New game type

Hey!

Personally, I really loved the gamemode Lucky Pillars, which was basically Pillars of Fortune, but with lucky blocks instead, you didn't have to wait for your items to be given, but get into action immediately. Unfortunately, this mode is no longer active, but would love to see it as a game type/modification in the current voting menus!

Wait why is Cubecraft adding new gamemodes and voting options for just few months before removing them? Are they testing what works and what not? Disasters was a good concept as well before they changed it so that only two events happen during the game, and then just removed the gamemode completely.

I remember Lucky Pillars, it was actually really fun


Not having to wait for items and just jumping straight into action made it feel way more fast-paced and chaotic (in a good way). It would fit really well as a voting option instead of a full separate mode.


Would definitely like to see this come back

If I remember correctly, but please correct me if I'm wrong, Disasters wasn't really a popular gamemode anymore after just a few week/months, which is probally the reason. For Lucky Pillars, it was meant as a temporary gamemode, however the popularity was huge, not sure why it's gone, and was kept as temporary.

Definitely agreed! My main issue with the basic Pillars of Fortune is how it's the same every game, you wait a few seconds for an item/block, hope to get something useful, and that's it, it's an easy and relaxing gamemode, but with lucky pillars, it just went faster, and that's what I highly preffered it over regular pillars

I may be wrong too, but I think the gamemode started losing players as soon as they changed the amount of disasters from about 10 to just 2, and that's why I didn't really understand the change. But I guess it could been some sort of final effort in saving the gamemode from dying as well, which didn't work either.
