I tried to think in what gamemodes they should let the hunger stay, but I understand why they added hunger in the first place. Without hunger the regeneration would be too good and people could run away for ever. If they dicide to remove the hunger, it should be removed in all gamemodes.
The enderchest in Eggwars would be a nice addition, but now you can buy normal chest and opponents can steal. This possibility is fun as well.
