So my idea is to just make a whole update related to fixing a ton of bugs around the server to optimize the experience, secure the playercount & free up the developers time (after the update) so other things like new games & maps can be worked on instead of bugs.

it would be better to establish a more consistent bug fixing schedule than having people work on sprints relating to bug fixes that causes some major burnout :P

Could you elaborate on that?
He means- bugs are a consistent occurring thing, they appear when updates go out and when changes are made, so they should be addressed regularly in the form of a schedule, instead of one big update.

The big update would fail to address the reasons behind why they existed in the first place and would need to be done every few months. Developers also rarely enjoy working purely on bugs for extended periods of time, so it's better to trickle it into the workload.
