Nether question

I’ve unlocked the nether, but i am still on the pigmen colony island. Does magma blocks/soul sand affect water like it does in vanilla Minecraft?

No magma blocks doesnt exist on server bcs server is on 1.9

And since soul sand affect water since 1.13 version and server is on 1.9
