I think item durability should be removed from EggWars

I think that, you haven't got enough experience with all modes.
Let's take the combination of overpowered items plus triple health, and to make it worse we will imagine that we are on map like Tea Party, because it's huge and the teams can be filled up with a lot of players.
It's pretty common to hear, that such games often take hours, and if you have played with that, or a similar combination of health boost and items you will know for what i'm talking about.
These games are so long, because there are a lot of generators, plus because there are 40 players(if the game is full)
Now imagine a massive battle between full diamond armoured teams, who cannot die, because nothing can stop them, since they don't have to care about collecting resources, since they have purchased the best armour and weapons.
No one wants to participate in games, that are nearly impossible to finish, right?
To be more fair and realistic, the combination that i talked about is very rare, because most of the people hate it, however almost every item and health boost combination will makes the games extra longer, which is surely unwanted.
Only the basic items combinations won't hurt as much, but still.
There isn't a real reason why we should be ,,punished" with such an ability, so that's why I completely disagree.

Maybe they should make it so that you spawn in with either full leather armour or just the hat and that you can’t take it off
durability isnt a problem in Eggwars Your normally dead before it breaks so it doesnt need to be removed

I disagree with this suggestion. I like breaking my opponent's armour using TNT or spamming my sword, I think it is a nice strategy especially if they have iron armour and you are unable to kill them. Once their armour breaks, you can kill them with 2 hits.

Item durability
Hi I think item durability should be removed because I like to rush and majority of players will buy a stone sword first and forces rushers to improvise their strategy
Usually you get killed before you can even break iron armour and tnt should (in my opinion) be used to break blocks around eggs or take a page out of hypixel’s book and make it so you can only buy the boots and leggings and no this isn’t copying having bedwars and the same prices would be full on copying
Full armour is better and tnt should do damage and what u just said literally is hypixel bed wars..
Literally can’t agree more. The game was so much better when item durability wasn’t a thing. I’m going to go a bit on a rant here because as an egg wars leaderboard player, adding item durability actually changed gameplay in a bad way.
Before item durability was implemented, everyone bought basic gear first. Only once item durability was added did I start seeing changes in players attitudes towards armor and especially choice of swords. This has made rushing EXTREMELY difficult. Players no longer use wooden swords, the first thing 90% of players farm for is stone swords now. Don’t believe me? Play duos for an hour and see how many players actually have wooden swords. A majority will start with stone. This makes me so annoyed. Most of you are probably thinking “lol what does this have to do with item durability”. Here’s the link, what’s the weakest sword in minecraft? The wooden sword (and gold but that’s not in egg wars). Players link “worst sword” with wooden and totally skip over it making players farm for the next tier up for no reason. Before item durability, the wooden sword would last forever and it was awesome because you wouldn’t have to worry about players getting stone swords off the bat or having your sword beak mid battle (which I have literally lost entire games because of).
Specifically in egg wars duos, there was always a scenario that I saw repeat every game to this day. One selfish teammate who farms for a stone sword and armor + whatever they want, and one poor teammate who doesn’t have anything for the first 5 minutes of the game because the teammate is too busy buying a stone sword and other unnecessary stuff.
This change in player attitude has actually changed the way egg wars is viewed for regular players and I hate it. I loved when I fought someone and it wasn’t the same case of “oh yeah he has stone I have wooden what a surprise!”. And no, I will not go for stone swords first thing too. I don't fully disagree with this suggestion. I do agree that items like wooden swords have the durability of wet toilet paper and will break within a few hits. Swords can be unbreakable, but for the durability to be completely removed from everything including Armor is a deal breaker for me. Armor has to break. This is especially true in Overpowered Mode due to fights lasting quite awhile even with the armor breaking. You don't run into much of a problem with armor breaking in normal mode even though it still happens but in OP Mode sometimes this is a necessity.
