So this is the situation:
Team red: 1 person, no egg
Team blue: 5 people, egg
Team yellow (my team): 5 people, egg
Blue killed all of red except for the one person who survived. The map is the space map, and he is hiding on top of a floating comet near the blue base. However, he is trapped, because there are 5 blue people on their island. He can't win a 5v1, so he has no chance of winning. He then says this in chat:
"2 people of team blue are distracted because they are trying to attack me. If 5 people were to attack them now they would be fighting a 5v3 and they would surely win"
We did not actually do anything different after he said that. We were already planning a big attack on blue, and soon after that carried it out. We did not in any way team with the red guy. In the giant red vs blue vs yellow fight that ensued, we killed red, and he killed two of us.
Is this considered crossteaming? Blue argued it was because while we did not do anything differently, just knowing that 2 of them were in the sky and not on their island gave us a strategic advantage. We said that we did not crossteam, because we were already planning an attack and we would've done exactly the same if red hadn't said anything, and we also killed red. Red said it wasn't crossteaming because he did not actually team up with someone, all he said was that he was fighting 2 blue guys, a factual statement, and he also killed two yellow guys.
TLDR: If you give a factual statement about a team that might help the other teams (they are currently here, this many are on their island defending, they are building a bridge to x colour's island) but don't team up in any way during pvp / gameplay, is it still considered crossteaming?
