How To Play 1.8 PVP In Eggwars

I have seen people on YouTube play Eggwars using 1.8 PVP. I have searched the lobby in Minecraft 1.8 but could not find anywhere to join a game in 1.8.
I don't know if this has been removed but if someone could tell me how to join a game in 1.8 PVP that would help a lot because i prefer 1.8 PVP to 1.9

Login with 1.8 MC to play with 1.8 PvP.
Login with 1.9 MC to play with 1.9 PvP.

Login with 1.8 MC to play 1.8.
Login with 1.9 MC to play 1.9.

I have tried that before but somehow didn't work.

If you want to player 1.8 PVP on egg wars, you have to join the server with a 1.8 client.

For the record when you login with 1.8 the server is sometimes full and you can play 2 gamemodes.
