This makes it so that you armor loses strenght the less Durability it has.

1/4 of durability missing=1/8 less protection
2/4 of durability missing=2/8 less protection
3/4 of durability missing=4/8 less protection.
If this is too much it can be toned down.

This will keep the armor breaking gameplay of OP while still quickening up the fights.
I thank early minecarft versions for this idea.

I think this would remove the purpose of OP. Fights typically only last about 6 minutes MAX on a 1v1 with swords, so I'm not bothered with it. I think it's fine the way it is.

I don't know what version of OP you are playing, but fights ussually take longer than that due to extra sets.
Isnt this a feature in 1.9?
I don't think so, I do know it was a feature of older minecraft though.

I'm playing on 1.8 OP, are you talking about 1.9? Bow fights can take a looong time but when you just fight with swords, you probably won't survive 20 hits. With golden apples, your armor is probably going to break in 2 minutes.

This is basically suggesting to add the thorns enchantment, or suggesting to adding the oringial 1.9 combat script
Not thorns, the opponent does not take damage from the attack, and the defense is based on durability rather than it being constant until a piece breaks. I don't know if the original 1.9 combat script had this or not.

Sort of the original script was that armor as it depreciates in durability it decreased the protection so basically for example an armor piece that does 4 bars of prot would reduce to 2 at half durability and 1 bar at 1/4 durability and so on but it was removed before release

Today, something awesome happened! I had just mined over 90 iron and coal in skyblock. Then, I put them in 2 furnaces. I had to leave for a few seconds, so I went to the lobby and left. When I came back, ALL OF THEM WERE GONE. The three signs I placed, all the iron and coal, gone. NO ONE WAS ONLINE. I have to get them again, I suppose. At that point, I was thinking about my existence and how my luck is so good! :D
