The eggwars lobby sign is so small now i cant even pick my favorite maps.... Could we have a bigger team board to pick from?

Yeah, I noticed it was smaller.
This is because now solo and teamed are on the same side when they used to be on separate sides. I am not sure this is necessary to change.

It is smaller because Team and Solo both have to fit on the same side. You can wait for your favorite map to come up, but you can also but Iron+ rank so that you can use the map selector.
