I don't think so he is looking at you and swinging his sword every time you get hit. the only hit I find a little weird is the last hit where you die. His sword didn't swing but this may be a case of you lagging.

Your device is a bit laggy, but as far as I see they make turn, probably using a mouse.
It's not too fast, otherwise they would've look more like they were cheating.
