  • We're running an internal migration of all old players' stats to our new highly advanced statistics tracking backend. This means that stat changes will be a bit delayed while we ingest this huge backlog of data. Nothing is being lost, it'll just take a bit longer to show up in the in-game UIs.

Recently, many players have been experiencing unexpected bans while playing on CubeCraft, and most of these bans seem to be caused by the Sentinel anti-cheat system. The main issue is that these bans often happen without a clear reason, especially to players who are not using any hacks or unfair advantages.
From the player’s perspective, it feels unfair to get banned suddenly during normal gameplay. For example, actions like fast clicking, lag, or certain in-game movements might be incorrectly detected as cheating. This creates frustration, especially for mobile players or players with weaker devices, as their gameplay can sometimes look unusual to the system.
Another problem is the lack of clear feedback. Many players do not fully understand why they were banned, which makes it difficult for them to defend themselves or avoid repeating the issue. This leads to a loss of trust between the players and the server.
In addition, not all players are able to record their gameplay to prove they are not cheating. Some devices cannot handle recording and playing at the same time due to performance issues or increased lag. However, in many cases, players are not believed because they don’t have video proof, which puts them in a very unfair situation.
Sentinel is important for keeping the game fair and preventing real cheaters, but it is not perfect. False bans can harm innocent players and affect the overall gaming experience. The system may need improvements in accuracy and better communication with players.
In conclusion, while anti-cheat systems like Sentinel are necessary, CubeCraft should review and improve how bans are handled. Players should receive clearer explanations, and there should be a more reliable way to appeal false bans—especially considering that not every player can provide video evidence. This would help create a fairer and more enjoyable environment for everyone.
