There appears to be a misconception that dedicated Asian matchmaking is unviable due to a low player count. However, this reverses cause and effect: Asian players are leaving because forced global matchmaking subjects them to 200ms+ ping and severe packet loss.
Playing under such conditions inevitably kills any passion for the game. I strongly urge the implementation of a cross-region matchmaking toggle, similar to The Hive. Players would gladly endure longer queue times for a localized, playable connection rather than instantly joining an unplayable match.
