Thank you everyone for your feedback. We will be reviewing this later today, so I'm not going to comment on most of it at this point, however we appreciate all the feedback that you give us. It really helps!

Also we can’t play with my friends on like the beta which is pretty annoying since most of my friends are PCs like now it’s impossible just to try the new kB with your friends.
This is a good point, and something we overlooked. For now I've enabled support for the parties system in this SkyWars Knockback mode, which means you should now be able to play with your friends again if you party with them. (You can party with players on different platforms and you'll end up in the most optimal game)

Honestly, I really dont like it. The new reality is that literally EVERYONE cleans, backstabs and rushes with builder kit. Its just terrible to play (im talking about pc). Its just that all the players use annoying and stupid strategies. Every game you get backstabbed and cleaned 4 times at least and its not fun at all. It is literally impossible to fight someone without some random backstabbing/cleaning you. Thats not about skill, its about being annoying. Fix it, implement some anti-cleaning system or just get rid of this all together
Literally I can’t get a single fight that’s a 1v1.

I feel bad for stream snipers on console Andy mobile because if this added it will not allow them to participate in stream snipe me’s.

Also most bedrock players don’t use the forums which means they can’t even vote. All of a sudden this players will realize that games are way to easy so they might go to new servers for better competition.

So we have had a long discussion today surrounding the feedback which has been given, and here is the conclusions we've come to:

This takes away the challenge from some mobile/console users
Following our discussion regarding this matter, we agree that you're not wrong. There will be some players on console and mobile who will miss the challenge of fighting other users on mouse and keyboard. For this very reason we're going to start work on implementing a setting as suggested which will allow you queue in more difficult input device games. This means users on touch based devices will be able to queue with controller and mouse and keyboard, and controller players can queue with mouse and keyboard. This setting will make no difference to mouse and keyboard players.

I keep getting cleaned/My games are more difficult
This is too be expected for mouse and keyboard, and Controller users. In the past there was a heavy bias towards Mouse and Keyboard/Controller players winning games, which meant that winning on touch was very challenging. This system offers players using mobile devices a significantly more enjoyable game, and will greatly help improve the average touch players win rate.

This is going to kill the game any won't help anyone.
Well actually, as you can see, following the release of the new match matching system, the game has seen a steady increase in players. It broke 400 players for the first time this week on Tuesday, hit 450 yesterday, and has somehow nearly hit 600 today already! This growth is really positive and shows that retention of players with this new system is significantly better. This is likely due to more challenging games for mouse and keyboard players, but also not-impossible games for the average touch user.

@rubik_cube_man I see your point, but I and many others would much prefer a setting where you either play with everyone, or your own device. I think this is too hasty of a change that many people including me do not like.

@SEN0RWIZZARD What is your reason behind wanting this setting. How will this help improve your games? What reason do other players have an incentive to enable this setting too?

My reasoning is that if people want to only play with people in there own platform, then they will toggle this setting off. And if they want to play with everybody, they they will toggle it on. For instance in a stream sniping stream, the streamer and everyone who wants to snipe will toggle it on so that they can all play together. Same for pc players who want a little less of a challenge, and console and mobile players who want more of a challenge. Also people who want to be in the same solo game together of any game mode.

We do not really support stream sniping or intentionally grouping with friends in solo modes. Stream sniping is a problem for many streamers, as it causes targeting an a whole host of problems for them. For streamers to have a fair game, it is important that they are put into games where they are not targeted by other players. We also do not encourage players grouping together in solo modes, because this encourages teaming which is a larger problem on our Java server. Since stopping parties in solo modes, games have been significantly more fair on Bedrock.
It sounds like what you want is private games, where streamers can invite viewers to challenge them. This is something that we're working on. I can't make any promises about a release date of this at this point.

If as a touch player you're looking for more of a challenge, this new setting which we're planning on adding will help to resolve this issue.
If you're a mouse and keyboard player looking for a more chilled game this is not something we can really solve. The problem in the past was that mouse and keyboard stomped on the average touch player, which made the games fairly chill for them, as they didn't need to think too hard to win the fight. I don't believe that the less skilled touch players, will voluntarily throw themselves into a game which they will lose fights easily in against mouse and keyboard users, so it'll only result in really skilled players in the queue.

Well some ask people to snipe them just make it bannable if they didn’t say stream snipe me.
Examples of people asking to be stream sniped.
Darkstray aka realjaycg
And RelatedNoobs on some occasions.

I do not think stream sniping is a big deal, but other people really like it. The main problem I see is pc players not being able to play more casually which will attract them to other servers. That is why there should be either play with everyone or play with your platform, not only console and pe players getting to play choose to play with peop,e not of their platform
Because I do think that some controller and mobile players will choose that option

And one more thing, WHY CANT WE JUST NOT ADD THIS most of the bedrock community does not like it so why are you forcing it on us?

it’s a huge game changing feature that no one asked to be changed, why can’t you just focus on the knockback which is a complete mess and everyone agrees should be fixed

If it’s going to be so competitive for pc players , why not go to the hive, or hypixel on java? Yes please ruin the point of the biggest update in Minecraft bedrocks history

Also ANOTHER EDIT PLEASE READ:
WHAT IS THE POINT OF PC PLAYERS BEING ON BEDROCK WHEN THEY WOULD BE JUST THE SAME PLAYING HYPIXEL IN JAVA

Stream sniping is a problem for many streamers
Yes certain stream sniping is. But me and related/Team Termite allow this. And we go into lobby and count “3. 2. 1 go” into chat. Although, unlike telated I only have 500 subs and average around 20 active viewers. He has thousands and gets a peak of 100.
It sounds like what you want is private games, where streamers can invite viewers to challenge them. This is something that we're working on. I can't make any promises about a release date of this at this point.
I would like Private games yes. But like I said I allow stream sniping and only have 500 subscribers. And then even then those games with mobile viewers would be a lot harder to play for them. I’m not going to say all my viewers are the best at the game. No, but I am saying they are a bit smarter than the average player on cubecraft, because they are watching videos/streams. This gives them more ideas and strategies.
But a mobile viewer against a full lobby with me and other viewers would make it even harder for them to play, because there are on touchh controls against m&k or controllers that know how to jump bridge and stuff. Putting them at a larger disadvantage when “stream sniping”

I don't believe that the less skilled touch players, will voluntarily throw themselves into a game which they will lose fights easily in against mouse and keyboard users, so it'll only result in really skilled players in the queue.
I was honestly garbage on mobile, and still am. One of my favorite moments was playing against 2 PC players using a macro. I was on mobile while my friend was on xbox. It wasn’t my favorite match because we won, but because we did lose to them. But it was when we block trapped them infront of our base and you hear the swing sounds dampening going into the void as they fell.

I didn’t move from mobile to m&k either. I moved to xbox. But my move from xbox to PC wasn’t specifically for m&k but because my frames were just bad, and still are. This has been an issue for months now. I had to move back to xbox recently and it does feel a lot better than before but theres still freeze framing, frame drops, and input delay. I also play controller on my xbox even though I have a m&k available it’s just the way I choose to play

We understand this - stream sniping is definitely a demographic that we understand that exists on our server, like people like DarkStray and Related do. We have established a solution - private games - and are wanting to work on it so that content creators and their fans are able to play games with each other without needing to click on a button at the same time as everyone else, only to play a game with three of their fans. This will be a lot more outreaching and will be a better experience than it is right now. However, as Rubik said:
I can't make any promises about a release date of this at this point.
We'll be working with creators and external communities alike to ensure that the private games system is as good as it can be. However, this is a future goal of ours to achieve. :)

And one more thing, WHY CANT WE JUST NOT ADD THIS most of the bedrock community does not like it so why are you forcing it on us?
Where are you getting this information from? I'm curious because the poll we've run here shows the opposite.
Again, this isn't something we're forcing onto you - you're able to opt-out of this mode and play against players of harder difficulty, but not downgrading so that mobile players aren't adversely affected in a way that this dynamic queuing system isn't completely useless.

When looking at mobile players, retention of these players are pretty low on our end - likely due to them not having fair games. All it takes to lose a game is for there to be one KBM player, and you've lost. To demonstrate this huge discrepancy, I've been playing a bit of Solo Survival Games on Bedrock in my spare time, and, uh...
1610054098371.png
Most games are with mobile or controller players. I'm averaging almost 8 kills a game when I'm casually playing, in a call with someone, or just quickly jumping on for a game. I've also got a win% of 78.5%. This is a huge issue that we simply cannot overlook otherwise problems will occur later on. These games for KBM players may be casual, however mobile players are often struggling, getting 10-hearted, and leaving the server entirely because of this, which is something we simply cannot afford to happen.

This isn't really the question to ask us - Windows 10 Minecraft has always been around and part of the Bedrock program. We can't just neglect them entirely or stop them from joining the server just because "you can play elsewhere".

I believe in SG the controller community has the biggest disadvantage looting wise. One thing I did like about Legacy Edition was quick looting and only 9 slots of inventory. On xbox I’d click a bumper and take all the loot from the chest.(although that is ping based)

I use dpad for everything on controller in the inventory it is a bit slower but I like the accuracy more.
