Discord Announcements Mention

Please make a role for people who want to see those announcements, @EveryOne is annoying.

Myself, I like to get updated about what's going on with the server, whether there is a new game, a sale, or whatever. Since you don't get notified too often, I don't think this is necessary.

Apart from that, since there are a lot of people in the discord server, making a separate role for the thousands of people who want to receive a notification, wouldn't be very convenient. I think it's okay how it is now.

You can always mute the announcement channel so you won't receive any pings from it anymore.

i would personally prefer having a bot that lets you choose your roles. for example,
- no ping
- bedrock
- java
- website
this way you can choose what platform you want to get notificated about, and of course things like sales and other website related updates. i know cube isnt too much fan of using bots, but it would be kinda nice since i like getting notifications, but not about bedrock since im not a bedrock player. and im pretty sure a lot of people think the same :)

Hey I think most people like getting a ping for announcements. But if you don't like getting pinged, you could just mute the channel.

There is a Discord setting called ''suppress @ everyone and @ here'' which you can turn on/off in the notification settings of the server. By turning this on, you won't get pinged when these mentions are being used on the server.
As a reply to the messages above, I believe you still get pinged when you only muted the channel, so that probably won't work and that's why this discord setting is a thing.
