Hi everyone! I'm here with a suggestion about CubeCraft Bedrock's VIP levels. VIP levels are one the coolest and most unique parts of CubeCraft Bedrock, especially when it comes to purchasable content. If you aren't aware, it's a system that grants players who purchase CubeCraft content extra in-game stuff. Anything that you purchase from the CubeCraft marketplace gives a set amount of VXP, which allows you to level up your VIP level. Every VIP level gives new, exclusive rewards.
While this is a great feature, players who have surpassed VIP level 30 (the max level) don't receive any more extra content for their purchases. They still get VXP, but it doesn't do anything. Many have suggested to add more VIP levels, but when will that end? When will there ever be 'enough' VIP levels? Players would just keep maxing them out, and CubeCraft would have to keep making more. Overall, adding more VIP levels isn't a very efficient solution, and would require a lot of extra work from CubeCraft. That's why I'm suggesting something a little different: VIP Prestige.
VIP Prestige:
VIP Prestige would act as a system to reward players who have already gotten past VIP 30 with new, adaptable cosmetics (see more on adaptable cosmetics later in this section). There would be prestige levels that go on infinitely, obtainable by getting extra VXP after VIP 30. The difference in VXP required would increase with every level (ex: Level 1 - 1000 VXP after VIP 30, Level 2 - 2000 VXP after VIP 30, Level 3 - 4000 VXP after VIP 30), making every level harder to get to than the previous (explained more in "Mathy Stuff" section).
You may be thinking, "what do these levels do?". Well, the rewards are a little different than those of ordinary VIP levels. Every normal VIP level has its own icon. The same could be true for the prestige levels. My idea is that the icons for prestige levels look the same as the VIP 30 icon, except they'd have an extra little number on them for whatever prestige level you're on. If you're VIP Prestige level 5, you'd have a diamond star logo with the number "5" on it. I believe that this can be programmed to automatically add the number to the logo instead of having to design a separate logo for every prestige level, meaning that theoretically, players could get any prestige level and still have a unique logo for it. In addition to this, there would be adaptable cosmetics.
Adaptable cosmetics would be a form of Epic Loot (new loot type recently introduced by CubeCraft that have unique features about them). What would be so "unique" about these cosmetics is that they would change with every VIP Prestige level you get. For example, there could be an epic prefix that says your prestige level, an epic buddy that changes looks based on your prestige level, or a profile border that displays your prestige level on your profile picture. There are so many possible adaptable cosmetics! They would keep VIP progression more fresh and exciting, while not putting too much strain on the developers and designers.
These are just some ideas of possible rewards from VIP Prestige levels. Please comment your own ideas!
Mathy Stuff:
Feel free to skip this section if you don't want to read through math stuff. It's not terribly complicated - just a way to show how the VXP system could work.
Here is the equation to model the amount of extra VXP (VXP above VIP level 30) required for each VIP Prestige level: y = (½x² + ½x) * 1000, x being the level, and y being the amount of VXP required for it. To make it simpler, here's a table:
By looking at the table, hopefully you can see the pattern. In the third column, the difference between the amounts is increasing by 1,000 VXP each time. This is basically how it would work - the difference between the VXP requirements increasing by 1,000 each time. Of course, the number could be different (ex: 500 or 2000), but this is just an example to show how it could work.
If this didn't make sense, it's okay
. The most important thing to take away from this section is that VIP Prestige levels go on infinitely, and take more VXP to unlock as you progress.
Example:
It may be a bit confusing, so I've created a scenario:
This is Bob: ( ͡ᵔ ͜ʖ ͡ᵔ)
Bob loves the CubeCraft server and has purchased so much CubeCraft content that he's gotten himself all the way to 78,150 VXP, which is 60,000 VXP above VIP level 30 (way to go, Bob!). Using the example equation from the section above, Bob is at VIP Prestige level 10! From this he get's a cool diamond star badge next to his username with the number "10" on it, some epic loot (what it is is yet to be determined, but it's something that reflects his VIP Prestige level), and maybe some other stuff too - and this is in addition to all the other things that he's already received from his normal VIP levels!
Conclusion:
In conclusion, VIP Prestige would be an infinite way of rewarding players who passed VIP 30. It would be much easier for CubeCraft to make than just adding more VIP levels, yet it would still reward dedicated CubeCraft players for all the content that they purchase.
