@Story Ik. But if the intentions for the parade are anti-LGBTQ instead of strait's rights, then thats bad.

@Story IKR. My best friend her aunt lives in America and my best friend would love to live there for 4 years, but there is barely healthcare with tiny bills, normal politics and jobs and etc. @CatsLoveRainbows yes, that’s what i’m trying to say :P. Let everyone do their thing without bashing each other, which will only divide people more

That's a very bad way of thinking about it, because this gives people the impression that we are fighting against each other so one side can win.

Should be more like that yeah. Like nowadays people can “act” gay and people will be surprised when they’re straight, but like, doesn’t that make everything more stereotypical? Or the other way around. You can’t be gay if you’re a though looking badass biker. Let people chose their sexuality instead of choosing it for them :P

LGBT folk used to be hella oppressed and still are in quite a lot of countries. It being more accepted nowadays etc is being celebrated with pride, straight folk were never oppressed for being straight. Its an obvious joke to make fun of LGBT pride which is why people dont like it.

Kinda like #alllivesmatter as a response to #blacklivesmatter

Also why some people dont want ace/aro folk to participate in pride

You can still die for being gay in Iraq

The pride in America is to make fun yeah, but what i’d love to see is a pride for every sexuality but I think that’s a dream that’ll never become true. LGBTs will, I think, not be equal for the next 100 years or more, as those people still get bullied on school and as long as the people who grow up with hatred against LGBT are still alive, it’ll not get accepted fully.

I think the government should regulate their healthcare better. Everyone should be entitled to it, illegal immigrants should have it when they’re in life threatening danger and after recovery should be sent back to their country. And like you said they need to do more about people on the streets, especially the ones who served the country.

In the Netherlands these people get money from the moment they’re to old to be in the military or smth which is like at 55 years old. This costs a lot of money but we’re still one of the best countries in the world to live in. We barely have people living on the streets (talking about legal people here)

LGBT-rights will never become a thing in a few countries like Iraq/Iran and other middle eastern or arabic countries. It's just a dream that will never happen, at least not for a few HUNDREDS of years. I mean, think about it: KSA (Saudi Arabia) has JUST STARTED giving women rights. Our countries are SO behind and it's ridiculous.

Yea and the whole ISIS thing made everything only more complicated. Like the war has shrunken I believe, but people still took over their beliefs. Religions make everything so much harder, same with christianity. LGBT gets more accepted, like I grew up christian and a boy from my church and class turned out to be gay and everything is kinda fine. But you still have people with hate

Question, @Marieke2001 do you think that it is ok to show kids drag and trans people? Like show them pictures and stories? I’m just curious what people think.
Marieke2001
Marieke2001
Yeah I guess. But I don't agree with children saying that they're gay or whatevs, because I feel like their mind can't really know what it means and what kind of an impact if has with comming out. Around the age of 14 is reasonable though

I disagree with people saying they're in love until they're 14+ lmao

Transgender.. yes... but like serious surgery is just a whole other level and should be concidered carefuly

Why do people make a big deal out of showing kids trans & gay folk? Watching years of cis straight relationships on TV didnt turn me straight.
Marieke2001
Marieke2001
I think because people are scared that their kid will become trans too, remember that it’s still a fairly new thing that gets accepted and people are always reluctant on new things

Thus in countries like mine, we still have religions that play a big role in everything. Parents might get scared that their kids get called out, bullied by classmates and religious people
