Paradise Lost and Greek Mythology has also destroyed any remaining logic I saw in Christianity. I could certainly justify the existence of Christianity if I wanted to, but my variation of it would look nothing like any form that currently exists, and that is apparently not acceptable. I literally interpreted The Bible as a "Hero who failed" story with Satan as the good guy, which I imagine would be very frowned upon.

With that being said, I hear Jesus is a pretty cool guy. My gripes mainly rest with the Big Dude upstairs. Christianity also has one awesome creation story, and truth be told I'm really envious that people can find comfort in religion. Must be nice not having to deal with existential crises every week. I'm really interested to see how religion evolves in light of our future in space, which is getting very close now!!

Back to the status itself, I agree. I've argued on Twitter a lot and it's... disappointing. I was blocked for providing a scholarly article questioning the wage gap. I have literally been told a source is unreliable because "they can only know so much". Also, if I had a dollar for every time I've typed "gender dysphoria is not a mental illness". Everybody is a biologist because they passed third grade science class.

Hitler killed millions and millions of jews. It's a fact that what he committed was an atrocity, not an opinion.

(i’m not claiming Hitler was a good guy, he did some extremely unacceptable stuff during ww2 but the decision to start the war is pretty logical)

You don’t have to change your opinion to be open minded, open mindedness is just that you are open to changing your opinion through listening to others beliefs. That doesn’t necessarily mean you HAVE to change it... :v

@BringMeTheHorizon i grew up with a christian father and a russian-orthodox mother. No wonder they divorced. Which is forbidden by religion, but who cares it’s 2k19 y’all! Anyways, I went to a christian school because they have (almost) no Russian Orthodox school here. But honestly it was one big joke.

I mean its mostly what’s left from the “Verzuiling” in the Netherlands. And many people are atheists here nowadays. However, I think religion on paper is a really good thing like communism, but it doesnt work because people are greedy and self-focused. I honestly never bothered. I don’t question it, but I also don’t follow it. I only go to Russian orthodox summer camps, they are great.

No religion is correct tbh. Just believe in one creator (someone definitely made us, even if it was a hecking cat, it's still our creator) that you choose to define as a God.

Should you feel entitled to that God? Should you feel like you need to do something for that God? Completely up to you. Imo, this is your life and you need to live it to its full potential. Sacrificing a day every week (or more) for church is completely unnecessary. I have not gone to church in years.
