Map Description
Hello. I created the map called Speedrun. It is based on a minecraft speedrun. You spawn in a village, if you are lucky you find a blacksmith, then you go to the nether and find a fortress and lastly go to the portal room and go to the end. Sadly I couldn't recreate a dragon, but I was able to build a portal frame which is already filled with an eye of ender. I designed the middle island's interior as an end city, the 2nd island is a nether fortress with a trap hidden in the inside of it, which can be triggered by standing on the pressure plates. I originally wanted to make a 4 block wide trap, but I realised that the fortress would look a bit too chunky, so I decided to make it a 2 block wide trap and place soul sand next to it. For the starter island, I only wanted to build a blacksmith at first, and call it a day, but the island would have looked spherical, so I kept the blacksmith's forge where you can get lava and water if you go into the house and pick up the bucket from the item frame, which is above the chest. The house is a lumberjack's hut. The first chest is next to the hay bales. There's also a cave next to the forge. If you go to the tree you can find the entrance to the mine, where the last chest is and some ores that you can mine (coal, iron, gold, diamond). I placed 3 diamonds on each island (same place) for people to craft a sword or a pickaxe.
I have put signs up which are saying: ,,chest,, -In my opinion the chest would go to these spots
I sadly had to renew the layout 3 times, because I misunderstood the size requirements a bit :/.
I also checked the islands spacing. The map is divided to 4 group of islands. Each include 3 starter islands and 1 semi-middle island. The starter islands are 7 blocks apart from each other (the ones next to each other), and each section is 10 blocks apart from each other (corner islands). The semi-middle island (fortress) is 9 blocks away from each starter island, and 20 blocks away from the middle island. This applies to each section. The fortress can be lowered if needed.
I also tested each position to see how accessible are the resources, chests and the islands. As a skywars main I think they fit, but that's my personal opinion. The map was tested in dark mode too.
